Auntie Susu's Cancer Journey

So FINALLY... I made it!!  After counting radiation and chemo treatments since November 2020, I have completed my 6th and final chemo treatment on February 16, 2021!!  It was a happy and emotional day!!  I have rang the bell for the last time... the very last time!!  God-willing... However, as satisfying as ringing the bell, I am not looking forward to the several days that come after treatment.  There is that hump to get over where everything tastes like metal.  I can't  rinse enough or flush enough water through my system to make this any easier.  Anti-barf pills as a fellow cancer patient described the little orange nausea pill will help with some of the unsettled stomach feeling.  I have the high of the steriods to come down from, and usually this starts the crash about day 3 after chemo treatment.  I just want to sleep the next couple days until I get past this bump in the road.  This time I had crazy neuropathy, and Tylenol around the clock did not help my feet and hand sensi...

The February sunshine has done wonders for me to start feeling better from #5 chemo treatment.  Mentally, January was a heavy month with the covid19 lockdown, self-imposed immune protection, and lack of sunshine.  I had a few days of just sleeping through the worst of it!  I'm so glad that the first month of 2021 is behind me, and I'm looking ahead to my remaining #6 and final chemo treatment coming mid-February.  Just one more to go... Working on my felt stocking helped stimulate my mind function and lessen my hand neuropathy, and so since then I have been looking for another project to pass the time during these dull days of winter.  I think my new hobby is looking and collecting project ideas... not a bad thing at all.  Pinterest has become my new place to go.  But, it's time to get over looking and get to some action... lol Chemo beanie hat will be my new project.  I purchased the recommended yarn (thank you Amazon).  After digg...
